Piekarski Chases Lee Late Model Championship in 2006
Nashua, NH – Nashua’s Brenton Piekarski will return to his home track of Lee USA Speedway for the 2006 season to battle for the NASCAR Late Model division championship. The 2004 ACT Tour Rookie of the Year made the decision to return to Lee after the release of the ACT schedule and reviewing his work schedule.

"I will still compete in some of the closer ACT events this year, but with the busy work schedule of the team, it is more convenient for PBJ Motorsports to compete locally at Lee," said Piekarski.

The team that Piekarski refers to, PBJ Motorsports, has retained many of its members over the past few years including Spotter Mike Rancourt, Crew Chief Wayne Helliwell Sr., Fabricator Aaron Genest, and General Crew Member Christian Steriti. Brenton’s father Mark will also oversee general operations.

"We have a solid team and I think that we can be there, hunting for the win each week with this group," said Piekarski.

"We have had our ups and downs like any team, but Lee is a track where we have done well over the past few years," continued Piekarski.

Toyota of Nashua will return to the team as a marketing partner and will be joined by the Hot Laps Karting Center.

"Toyota of Nashua has been a team supporter for almost my entire career and I am excited to see them return. Toyota’s involvement in racing grows each year at all levels of the sport. Hot Laps Karting Center is going to offer a racing adventure for just about all ages. I am excited to help promote this new venture and to help get more people into racing," said Piekarski.

Hot Laps Karting Center is located at Sugar Hill Speedway in Weare. The new company will cater to group and company outings, offering real racing on the super-fast road course in formula-style karts producing speeds up to 60 MPH, just an inch from the ground.

Tentatively, the PBJ Motorsports team will enter four ACT Tour races. The team will compete in the May 19th RE/MAX 100 at Lee USA, the June 10th Country Pools & Spas 100 at White Mountain Motorsports Park, as well as the August 12th Granite State 100 at the same track, and the June 24th Bay State 100 at Seekonk Speedway.

"These races have been good for us in the past. The tracks are central to our home base in Nashua and they work with the team schedule at Lee," expressed Piekarski.
