Rain Washes Out PBJ Motorsports Debut at Twin State Speedway
Claremont, NH – After testing went well at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH just a few weeks ago, the Nashua, NH-based PBJ Motorsports team had high hopes of a solid finish in the ACT Tour Sonny Fleury Memorial 100 this past Saturday. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and the Toyota of Nashua/Collision Centers of New Hampshire sponsored team will have to wait until Friday May 28th to determine the outcome to the third race of the season.

Before the skies opened up, the team was able to practice and get a heat race into the program. The track was ‘green’ and previous test notes did not help with the set-up of the Merchants Rent-A-Car Late Model. The car was pushing during practice and the heat race. BJ Piekarksi drew the last starting position for his heat race and was able to pick up a couple of positions, but not enough to guarantee a starting position in the feature event.

The consolation race was rolled onto the track with Piekarski set to fire off in the seventh position. The rain came and ended the evening of racing festivities. The consolation race and the main event have been rescheduled for May 28th. Piekarski will look to race his way into the 100-lapper.

"The track was quite different from when we tested here a few weeks ago," said Piekarski.

"The rains from during the week made the track green and the car just wanted to push. I’ll just have to race it into the lineup when we come back on Memorial Day weekend," continued Piekarski.

There is no race scheduled for the PBJ Motorsports team this week. The team will use the opportunity to do some testing for a doubleheader Memorial Day weekend. The weekend will begin with the return to Twin State Speedway on the Friday night and then on Sunday, May 30th the ACT Tour returns to Thunder Road Speedbowl for the 39th Annual Memorial Day Classic.
