2007Season
6/23 Race Report
For the 2nd time this year, BJ Piekarski and the PBJ Motorsports team raced this past weekend at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, NH. After last weeks promising run, the team were very optimistic going into this next race. Once again, Piekarski had to start towards the rear of the 25 car field, and took the green starting in the 21st position. After a first lap melee Piekarski jumped up to the 15th position. From this point, Piekarski was trapped on the inside lane behind a slow car, and eventually dropped back to the 19th spot. After avoiding numerous wrecks in which the #19 Hot-Laps Karting Center sponsored vehicle, Piekarski made his way back up to the 14th position by lap 32. After the lap 32 restart, Piekarski jumped to the outside lane and began a 14 lap side by side race with the #41 of Pete Potvin. The final caution came out on lap 48, which led to a Green-White-Checkered Finish where Piekarski lined up 12th. Piekarski immediately began to pick off another spot and was up to 11th on the white flag lap, and made a last second run on the final straightaway to try and pass Busch driver Jamie Aube. Piekarski fell feet short of 10th, and finally wound up in the 11th position.

After an exciting action packed evening, Piekarski stated “The team really came together tonight an d we had a great race, but starting so far back in the field automatically puts us way behind when you’re racing 2 by 2 at this tight ¼ mile oval. The track had some great racing tonight, and was filled with 10 ACT Tour drivers which made it even more exciting. The finishing position doesn’t show how fast our car was, but by how tough it was to pass, we did an excellent job!” The PBJ Motorsports Team and BJ are expected to return to W.M.M.P on Saturday 7/7.

6/16 Race Report
BJ Piekarski and the whole PBJ Motorsports team showed up for their first circle track event this past Saturday night at White Mountain Motorsports Park for what was going to be an excitement filled evening. The night had a rough start for the #19 bunch as they made contact with the left front of the car with the #02 car in the first practice session. After this, BJ and the crew had a hard time getting the car sorted out as they fought handling problems all night. Before the feature, the crew found that the Left Front shock and lower control arm was bent due to the prior practice incident. As they swapped out the suspension parts minutes before the feature race, Piekarski was to line up in the 21st and last position. After taking the green flag, BJ could immediately notice the difference in handling, and the car turned into one of the top 5 fastest cars of the night. Showing patience of a veteran, from both BJ and his spotter (Mike Rancourt), they were able to make their way up to finish in the 9th position in the 50 lap feature. The PBJ Motorsports Crew would like to thank Mark Piekarski, Chase Piekarski, and Mike Rancourt for a great first outing at WMMP in which their team was able to overcome handling issues and came out with a pleasing finish.

5/27 Race Report
For the second race in 2007, Piekarski started his car in the 3rd place this time at NHIS with a qualifying time of 1:09.5 seconds, following pole sitter Babe Branscomb and Glenn Seward in the Chevy Corvette Prototypes. The race started off to look not so well as he dropped back to the 5th position after having tire problems, but was able to eventually work his way back up to finish in the 2nd position.

5/26 Race Report
For the first time in 2007, 23 year old BJ Piekarski took to the track at New Hampshire International Speedway this past weekend in the New England Regions SCCA Road Racing Series. After qualifying in a blistering fast lap of 1:10.4 seconds, the #19 Hot-Laps Karting Center/Collision Centers of New Hampshire Dodge lined up in the 4th position for the first race of the weekend. After 20 hard fought laps around the 1.6 mile roadcourse, Piekaraski was able to bring his #19 home in the 3rd position.
